A few......

1 min read
So you soon realize that you haven't visited dA for quite some time when you have over 6000 messages!!!

For all those who have started to follow my page, many thanks and apologies to everyone for my lack of artwork recently.
Work and family life have eaten all my spare time but there are a few chances to 'steal' some time for myself and get creating again.

I can't promise my page will suddenly have an influx of new art but occasionally you may see a new piece here and there.
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it, and have a great day/weekend to those who don't :)

See ya soon...........

Hey everyone :)

Firstly thanks to everyone who stopped by my gallery, faved a piece or pieces and for leaving such kind comments (and badges).
I'm sorry I don't respond to each and every single one of you but I seriously appreciate each of you using your time on my pages.

So things have continued to be busy around here what with one thing or another (I promise not to bore you with the exact lengthy details).
Spare time for any personal work has been non existent but I've been certainly busy with plenty of art related tasks so I'm not getting rusty (or rustier).

As you have probably seen we (myself and a great buddy Ian Beck iangbeck.blogspot.com) put together a Madefire Motion Book called Life Support which was amazing fun.
Ian wrote this first part a little while back and we had kind of messed around with illustrations for it for some personal work when we had the time and so re-working it for the Motion Book made sense.
It had me sat in front of my iMac drawing, painting and then building it for a fair few hours (my wife will probably have a better idea of actual hours lol).  I also have a few other collaborative projects which I really want to return too as they are equally as awesome.

So thats one update, Life Support #1 can be read for free at this moment via DeviantArt so if you enjoy survival sic-fi thrillers then check it out:  mull-art.deviantart.com/art/Li…

So that PLUS looking for some employment had taken most of my time but my wife was also pregnant so supporting her was my main concern.

Well on Sunday 20th July at 1:15pm she gave birth to my new baby boy Oliver (he was 11 days early :) ) and so whilst we all adjust to a new schedule my time for online activities such as dA might go untouched for a couple of days.
I'll still be working on my various tasks and art projects and there might be the occasional new bit of work here or there ;)

I was also thinking of perhaps opening up some slots for some commission work if theres any interest out there? It would be simple environment/landscape (nothing that had tons of design work involved or large character work in it as I really don't have that sort of time) type pieces, either a real place or a place from your imagination etc.
They'd be full color of course and at a size you could have printed big enough to cover a wall ;) and around the $35 to $50 mark. If anyone is interested just pop your interest in a reply and we can chat about it.

Ok now its dinner time.............

Hi everyone

So it's now been nearly two weeks since I've arrived in DC and whilst things on a personal front have been fantastic, art-wise a little slow in resuming normal activities.
I'm still waiting delivery of a new iMac (had a terrible customer experience, again, in the local Apple store. Seems they weren't interested in taking my money for a new rig) but should be here by Wednesday.

I've been busy getting bank accounts sorted, settling in, new gear for this and that and so spare time for art hasn't been readily available.  But now that most things have been resolved 'normal service' shall resume, one of those will be the Drawtober challenges which is the brilliant brain child of the Autodesk SketchBook Pro team and maintained by the brilliant Renee: reneedicherri.deviantart.com

If your after a fun daily, yes daily, challenge then you should certainly head over to: autodesk-sketchbook.deviantart… and even though it's over halfway complete the themes are still fantastic to pick up and run with.

Anyways it's bedtime so I hope your all doing great and having fun with your art ;)

Night :)

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing great and having fun in whatever you pursue.

Just a quick update:

If anyone (probably a few) didnt know I've been in the process of obtaining a visa to move to the US (so I can be with my lady).  Well after 12 months of form filling, medical reviews, interviews along with more forms and money I've been granted my visa.

So I shall be moving to the US in the beginning of October (9th October).  Once we found out the process had been approved I began to organise and prep for the move, that included boxing and sorting (junk and keep piles), and deciding 'do I risk shipping my iMac and associated digital art equipment or sell and buy once settled?'.
So I sold the lot, couldn't face the risk of damage (and I get to but new gear).

That's the reason why I haven't been posting any art (still sketching and painting analogue though) along with the increased hours at work to help fund everything.

I've also taken down my site as it was due for renewal and I thought it best to re establish it once there and have opened a bank account etc, so if anyone's looking for my site to grab a copy of my iBook then sorry its gone.

However if anyone is keen to still grab it now (it will be going on the apple bookstore for purchase sometime later this year/early next) please drop me a note or email (email will get a faster response) and ill sort it out for you.

So much for quick update!!
Ok well that's it for now folks, keep painting and having fun and catch you all soon :)
